Downtown Gulfport has developed into a genuine arts district centered around 25th and 26th Avenues. Galleries, studios, and creative businesses have moved into older storefronts, giving the area a walkable energy that most of the coast lacks. The Gulfport Cultural Arts Center hosts performances, exhibitions, and classes. Local restaurants and coffee shops in the district make it easy to spend an afternoon exploring on foot.
